Site Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Inspector

Location: Botlek Rotterdam

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12 Months

Work Schedule: 10 hours/day, 5 days/week (Full-time onsite)

Max Bill Rate: € competitive

 

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Site Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector to join a major onshore industrial project in Botlek Rotterdam. The role is full-time, site-based, and focuses on inspection, quality control, and compliance of E&I installations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect Electrical & Instrumentation installations as per ITP/ITR requirements.
  • Review and sign off ITPs, ITRs, and test packs.
  • Work with site quality teams to track progress and report issues.
  • Manage punch-lists and non-conformances; follow up on corrective actions.
  • Attend site meetings and support commissioning teams as needed.
  • Participate in walk-downs and witness Site Acceptance Tests.
  • Maintain accurate daily and weekly site inspection reports.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • ATEX training and certification.
  • Significant experience in a similar inspection role on onshore oil & gas projects.
  • Strong knowledge of E&I equipment, drawings, blueprints, and installation manuals.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools and relevant software (e.g., AP Completions or similar).
  • Familiarity with safety and industry standards.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Proven track record as a site-based Quality Control Inspector.
  • Experience working with contractors in large industrial or energy projects.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively on-site.
